EAN codes per platform
Most marketplaces ask for an EAN (GTIN) for each product. Below you can see where our EAN codes are suitable and what rules each platform has. Always check the latest seller rules before you list.
EAN codes for Amazon
Our EAN codes are suitable for generic, unbranded listings on Amazon. For branded products Amazon checks GTINs against the GS1 database, so you will need GS1 codes, a GTIN exemption or Brand Registry.
EAN codes for eBay
On eBay you enter the EAN in the item specifics of your listing. Our EAN codes can be used for this, both for new listings and for products without an existing EAN.
EAN codes for Google Shopping
Google Shopping requires a valid GTIN: the correct check digit and no restricted prefixes. Our EAN-13 codes meet these requirements. Own-brand products can also be listed without a GTIN.
EAN codes for OnBuy
OnBuy requires a barcode for every product and advises using GS1 barcodes. Check OnBuy's current rules for your category before you list with our EAN codes.
EAN codes for your own webshop
In your own webshop you set the rules. An EAN code makes stock management easier and allows you to feed your products into comparison sites and Google Shopping.
