UPC to EAN converter (and back)

UPC, EAN and GTIN: same number, different format
A UPC-A (12 digits) is mainly used in the US and Canada. Put a 0 in front and you have an EAN-13 with exactly the same check digit. For a GTIN-14, add one more 0. The number itself does not change, only how it is written.
An EAN-13 that starts with 0 can also be written as a UPC-A. If it starts with another digit, there is no UPC version.
